Registration is not required for this event.

“A Brief History of Tomatoes” follows the history of tomatoes, from when the tomato first went from Mexico to Europe (where the Europeans had no idea what to do with them), to a few hundred years later when pizza was invented, and, on this side of the pond, we cultivated the Jersey tomato.
Bernard Sypniewski was born some time ago and shortly thereafter he began gardening. His first crop was radishes. After school, his legal practice, and teaching at Rowan University (computer science), Bernard started building raised beds. He now has 3. Bernard especially likes tomatoes and peppers of all sorts, including wild ones. He has a fascination with anything old; hence the topic of the current talk.
