Ramirez Solar House Architectural Review in Dingmans Ferry on Sunday, October 23, 2022
Sunday, October 23, 2022, 1130 - 1230
The Ramirez Solar House, nominated to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places, is one of the earliest examples of passive solar residential design (known as the second solar house in the United States and earliest surviving example in this country). And it is right here in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area and owned by the National Park Service.

Jessica Jamroz, an award-winning, multi-disciplinary design and construction professional who has consulted on the Ramirez Solar house in the past, will be presenting the historical significance of the house and its cultural value. In 2012 Jessica consulted with the National Park Service on the preservation of this critical property. Her knowledge and love of this house is very impressive and apparent once you meet her.

The presentation is free. A donation box will be available to help the Friends. All donations will be used to support the Friends of DWGNRA or support the DWGNRA directly for programs and projects where other funds are not available.

Pre-registration is suggested by visiting the events page on the Friends of DWGNRA website (click on Get Tickets), but not required.
