Join us to gather as a community and learn about biodiversity and reconciliation-in-action in the Burrard Inlet through nature walks, artist workshops and hand-on activities in the Coast Salish Plant Nursery. Attendees will have the opportunity to appreciate and celebrate Tsleil-Waututh culture and knowledge, including:
10:00-11:30am: Workshop: Indigenous Sciences with Kayah George
10:00-11:00am: Bird Walk with Sam Mactavish
12:00-12:45pm: Plant Walk with Cease Wyss
1:15-2:45pm: Workshop: Parallel Matriarchies with Kayah George

3:00pm-4:00pm: Land Back School with Heléna Mauti
On the stage, we are proud to present performances from Les George (MC), Wil George, Saeid Kooshki, Children of Takaya, Alex Archibald and more!
The Festival also serves as the opening day summer exhibition of artist-in-residence, Kayah George’s "Village Under the Sea" which dives into intergenerational and ecological connections of life in the Burrard Inlet. Her photographs highlight the abundance of life in the Burrard Inlet, from herring, bull kelp, shellfish and even orcas.
BBQ’d items, including elk sausage as well as vegan and halal options will be cooked on site and available for purchase.
