1st Annual Oyster River Community Clothing Swap - Bring a Bag, Take a Bag

On November 2, 2024, from 10am-2pm, the first annual Oyster River Community Clothing Swap will be held at the Oyster River Middle School in Durham. We were inspired to create this event after attending similar highly popular events in the Seacoast, including PortSwap, which just celebrated 10 years.
The swap invites community members to bring a bag or more of good quality clothes, shoes, and accessories that no longer serve them, and leave with a bag, or more of clothes that are new to them that others have brought to the swap.
In this way, we're keeping hundreds if not thousands of pounds of clothes out of landfills and giving new life to reusable items. Not to mention fabulous new wardrobes for our excited attendees. After 12pm, donations are not required--anyone can come and find items they can use.
