Adaptive Sports Northwest Get in the Game Annual Fundraiser
Saturday, May 17, 2025, 1630 - 1930
Please join us at Mittleman Jewish Community Center on Saturday, May 17th, for adaptive sports demos, community building, food, games, and fundraising. The night's program starts in the gym at 4:30 pm with live sport demonstrations by the Rose City Renegades Power Soccer team and the Pacific NW Reign women's wheelchair basketball team. Next Attendees will have the opportunity to Get in the Game by playing sit volleyball, adaptive pickleball and goalball. Then make your way to our track and cycling athletes showcasing the large array of equipment and sports chairs. Have you ever wondered what it's like to sit in a track chair or a sport chair? Well, this is your chance. Wear sneakers and comfortable shoes so you don't miss your chance to Get in the Game.
After all the excitement in the gym, the festivities continue into the ballroom with snacks and socializing at 5:45pm. Dinner and a short program, including words from the Executive Director and 7-time Paralympian Jen Armbruster, will begin at 6:15 pm. Our MC for the evening is Brooke Olzendam, award-winning courtside reporter and studio host for the Portland Trail Blazers. Attendees can bid on a fantastic auction package, Raise Your Paddle for a special cause, or try their luck with various games, all while enjoying delicious food and learning about Adaptive Sports Northwest.
Your support (donations, game plays, or auction winnings) helps purchase adapted equipment, practice facilities, trained coaches, and provides an inclusive peer network for children and adults to enhance their lives. One of our resilient athletes says, "I am very thankful for this organization. Everyone involved is creating life-changing opportunities in a rapidly growing community of people that are all too often overlooked."
