Alice's Wonderland Adventure | Children's Drama Summer School (Ages 8-12)
Monday, August 17, 2026 -- Friday, August 21, 2026, 1000 - 1600
Alice's Wonderland Adventure
A Five-Day Drama Summer School for Ages 8-12
Join us this summer for an unforgettable week of imagination, creativity and performance.
Inspired by the magical world of Alice in Wonderland, children will work together to create their own unique version of this much-loved story. Rather than simply learning a script, every child will become part of the creative process-helping to invent characters, shape scenes, explore movement and bring Wonderland to life through acting, storytelling and imagination.
Led by professional theatre director Ben Nash, founder of Norwich School of Acting, the week has been carefully designed to build confidence, encourage teamwork and give every child the opportunity to express themselves in a fun, welcoming and supportive environment.
Children will enjoy:
Drama games and confidence-building activities
Character creation and improvisation
Storytelling and script creation
Movement and physical theatre
Working together as an ensemble
Creating a unique performance for family and friends
Whether your child already loves performing or is completely new to drama, this summer school is designed to inspire creativity, develop communication skills and help every young person discover what they can achieve.
Ben has over 20 years' experience working with children and young people through theatre, including teaching with Guildhall Young Artists, Norwich Theatre, The Garage, HighTide Theatre and Bristol School of Acting. He holds an MA in Drama Directing from Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and is passionate about helping young people grow in confidence through creativity.
Ben will be joined by Poppy Nash, who has grown up surrounded by theatre and has a passion for working with children. Poppy will lead fun warm-up games and help create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels part of the adventure from day one.
Dates: Monday 17th - Friday 21st August
Time: 10:00am - 4:00pm each day
Venue: St Mary Magdalene Church, Silver Road, Norwich
Age: 8-12 years
Cost: £180
The week concludes with a performance for family and friends on the Friday afternoon.
Places are limited to just 15 children to ensure everyone receives plenty of individual attention.
No previous acting experience is necessary-just imagination, enthusiasm and a willingness to explore Wonderland.
We can't wait to welcome our very first group of young actors to Norwich School of Acting and share an amazing week of creativity, confidence and adventure together.
