Alpha Course Birmingham: Free Film Series on Life, Faith and Meaning

Got questions about life, faith or meaning?

Alpha is a free 11-week film series for anyone who wants to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed, open setting.

Starting Tuesday 15 September at 7PM, the Birmingham Alpha Course will begin online, making it easy to join wherever you are. We may also introduce in-person Birmingham sessions later in the series, with full details shared with registered guests if confirmed.

Each week, we'll watch an episode from the Alpha Film Series and have an honest conversation around that week's question. Topics include who Jesus is, prayer, purpose, the Bible, faith and how Christianity connects with everyday life.

You do not need to be Christian, attend church or know the Bible. You can ask questions, share your perspective, disagree or simply listen.

Alpha is for people who are curious, sceptical, returning to faith or simply want some space to think about what they believe.

Whether you're a student in Birmingham, working here, new to the city, have lived here for years or are joining from elsewhere online, you are welcome.

What to expect

- Engaging episodes from the Alpha Film Series
- Honest, informal conversation
- Space to ask questions without judgement
- No pressure to speak or agree with everyone
- Online sessions to begin with
- Free registration for the full 11-week course

This Alpha is part of Beyond Festival at The Liberty Church, giving people who joined us at the Celebration Festival somewhere to continue exploring.

But you do not need to have attended the Festival or The Liberty Church before.

If you've found Alpha through Google, an events listing, your university, social media, a friend or simply because you want somewhere to explore Christianity and life's bigger questions, you're just as welcome.
