Saturday, August 23, 2025, 1400 - 1500
Back by Popular Demand, the stage once again ignites with the raw power of truth and resilience as "At All Cost"-the gripping historical drama written and directed by acclaimed author Rashida Costa-returns to the Lake Worth Playhouse Stonzek Studio Theatre on August 23 and 24, with performances at 2 PM and 6 PM both days.
Set in post–World War II America, "At All Cost" follows Wray Edmond, a Black veteran denied his GI Bill benefits. Refusing defeat, he builds a new future by purchasing a casino-fighting for legacy amid injustice. As Palm Beach County emerges as a rising hub for new playwrights and filmmakers, this powerful story adds to the region's creative renaissance.
"This play is a mirror to America's past and a spotlight on the sacrifices Black soldiers made, not just on the battlefield-but on the home front," says Costa. "It is about fortitude, identity, and the cost of being unseen."
The play is rooted in truth and told by Visionary Rashida Costa, known for her insightful prose. She is the author of 365 Days Smarter: This Motivational Guide Includes 365 Quotes to Help You Get Through Your Year Successfully, offering readers daily strength and reflection.
