After intermission, Piunno's "Bright Shadow Fanfare" offers a modern reflection on identity and light, leading to Robert Russell Bennett's sweeping "Suite of Old American Dances," a nostalgic nod to the rhythms of yesteryear. The concert closes with the beloved "Yellow Rose of Texas," blooming with warmth and pride.
