I Felt My Life with Both My Hands - In her newest collection of short fiction, Jessica Treadway chronicles the lives of ordinary women as they navigate motherhood and childlessness; friend and partner relationships; careers and job loss; crises of identity and self-worth; the quest for spirituality; guilt and sacrifice; illness and grief. These stories affirm the significance of our most inner selves, and the possibility of grace in human connection.

This is How We Speak - What do we owe one another? A woman running from the memory of her father's suicide seeks atonement through following her mentally ill boyfriend into the cornfields of Nebraska; a father cannot face his daughter after failing to save her from being shot and permanently disabled; an aunt raises her abandoned nephew; a woman must decide if she is willing to stand by her lifelong best friend. Rebecca Reynolds tells stories within stories of parents, children, turmoil, and forgiveness. Devastating and redeeming, This Is How We Speak heralds the debut of a stunning new voice.
