Banquo Folk Ensemble "How Goes the Night"

Banquo Folk Ensemble has been presenting traditional music for over 25 years - music from the Middle Ages right up to our time. With voice and over 30 instruments, such as fiddles, recorders, harps, hurdy gurdys, historical bagpipes, guitar, cittern and percussion, these musicians develop their own unique sound and approach to traditional tunes. Whether it's haunting songs from the 13th Century, dance music that would be at home in a Jane Austin story or an Elizabethan ball, or beautifully lilting ballads from the emerald countryside, their music is varied and eloquent.
