Black Lab: An Evening with Paul Durham | Siren Album Release Show
Saturday, September 19, 2026, 1900 - 2230
Black Lab founder Paul Durham returns to Seattle on September 19 for a rare, intimate performance celebrating the release of Siren, the band's seventh studio album and the culmination of five months spent writing and recording in the Puget Sound region.
Known for his emotionally resonant songwriting, cinematic soundscapes, and the distinctive "hushed intensity" that has defined Black Lab for nearly three decades, Durham will present a one-night-only listening-room experience at Seattle's Skinner Theater. The performance offers fans an opportunity to hear songs from Siren in the setting that inspired much of the album's creation, while revisiting favorites from throughout Black Lab's acclaimed catalog.
After spending much of the year immersed in the Pacific Northwest while writing and recording Siren, Durham chose Seattle as the city where the new album will make its live debut. The evening promises a uniquely personal blend of music, storytelling, and reflection, creating a deeper connection between artist and audience than a traditional concert setting allows.
The Skinner Theater's intimate atmosphere and exceptional acoustics provide the ideal backdrop for Durham's signature performance style. Audience members can expect a dynamic set spanning Black Lab's nearly three-decade career, from the alternative rock songs that first earned the band a devoted following to the atmospheric, cinematic recordings that have become staples of film and television soundtracks. Selections from Siren will be performed live for the first time, giving fans an exclusive look at the next chapter in Black Lab's evolution.
Unlike a traditional concert, the experience continues long after the final song. Following the performance, attendees are invited to stay for an informal gathering with Durham, where fans can connect personally with the artist, purchase exclusive merchandise, and hear the stories behind the creation of Siren.
A limited number of VIP tickets are also available and include access to an intimate lunch with Durham on Sunday afternoon. The small-group experience offers fans a rare opportunity to ask questions, share memories, discuss the band's music, and engage with one of alternative rock's most distinctive singer-songwriters in a uniquely personal setting.
For longtime Black Lab fans and newcomers alike, the evening represents more than an album release show. It is a rare opportunity to experience the music in its most authentic form, hear the stories behind the songs, and celebrate a new chapter in Black Lab's journey where it began: in the Pacific Northwest.
