Building Sustainable Action in East Lothian
Saturday, January 24, 2026, 1000 - 1530
Interested in the natural world and how it impacts your community? Want to learn more about food access and growing; nature projects; energy and heat projects or reuse, repair, recycling?
Join the East Lothian Climate Hub for a dynamic day where we will learn about sustainable action in the context of local community needs, from Prestonpans to Dunbar. Everyone is welcome from folks new to this kind of thing to people that have been involved for a long time.
- Attend workshops from inspirational speakers on community-led sustainable action.
- Connect with people and groups from across East Lothian.
- Learn around developing a local action group, small or large.
- Mingle around stalls, with good music and good food.
Pam Warhurst, whose Ted Talk called How We Can Eat our Landscapes has been viewed 1.5million times, will be joining us. She will talk about what is possible for communities to achieve when it comes growing and biodiversity across your streets and towns.
This event is part of the Green Futures Festival 2026 - East Lothian's celebration of communities acting on climate and nature issues. Come to all of the day or just some of it. You can just drop in on the day, though it helps us if you sign up in advance. If you have any questions or would like to have a stall, email: tess@eastlothianclimatehub.org
