Burns Supper
Tuesday, February 3, 2026, 1930 - 2130
The RSCDS NJ branch hosts their annual Burns Supper, which features the expected traditions: Readings by Robert Burns, including his "Selkirk Grace" and his "Address to the Haggis", which is followed by a meal of haggis, neeps (turnips) and tatties (mashed potatoes), along with a wee dram (Scotch whisky). All guests are invited to join or watch ceilidh dancing, which is a simple form of country dancing that anyone can do. At the end of the evening, we close with Burns' tradition "Auld Lang Syne" (yes, he wrote that, too, among his many poems and lyrics). Whether it is poetry, Scottish history, dancing, or food and a wee dram, there are many reasons to come and celebrate our Burns Supper!
Kids are welcome! Half-price tickets for teenagers, and free for children 12 and under.
Pleae note: Because of the winter storm warning, Burns Supper has been postponed to Tuesday, February 3, at 7:30 PM.
