CAPE COMMUNITY ORCHESTRA FALL CONCERT SERIES

Who doesn't enjoy a good story, a fairy tale of fun and imagination, an underdog's quest for treasure, or the mythology of the unknown? Conductor Nancy Torrente and the musicians of the Cape Community Orchestra will take you on a musical journey of Fire and Fantasy: Music to Ignite the Imagination. The orchestra will explore the music of Handel, Albeniz, DeFalla and more at the first concert of our 2025-2026 season.
Asturias by Isaac Albeniz evokes Flamenco dancing and will have you moving your feet in excitement. Can you see the lights and techno display being set off to Handel's Fireworks music? Leap with us through the fire of Ritual Fire Dance as a young widow conjures up her husband or follow Orfeo into the Underworld as he searches for his love. Search for the ring with the Hobbits as you listen to the expressive music from the Lord of the Rings movies. These beautiful pieces are just a few of the works of music the Cape Community Orchestra will share with you at their November concerts.
Performances will take place on Saturday, November 22, 2025, 3:00 PM at Monomoy Regional High School, 75 Oak St, Harwich, MA and Sunday, November 23, 2025, 3:00 PM at Dennis-Yarmouth Intermediate School, 286 Station Ave, So Yarmouth, MA. Admission is free. Donations are welcome.
The Cape Community Orchestra is a community-based ensemble that provides musicians of all ages and backgrounds an opportunity to perform orchestral music on Cape Cod. In addition to our two November concerts, the CCO presents two concerts in May as well as a Family concert in March.
