Celebrate the Season, a Christmas Cantata with silent auction

Get ready to be entertained by a choral presentation of a Joel Raney cantata WITH A SILENT AUCTION after the music part of the program. All revenue generated through cash or check donations, and ALL proceeds from the Silent Auction will be forwarded to 'Ruth's House'. 'Ruth's House' is a home (opened in 2024) that provides a secure place for single mothers with children who are facing challenging circumstances. See www.ruthshousect.com for their website and more explanation. We felt that this is an important non-profit cause, so we created the church's music event as a fundraiser. There will be outstanding performances, friendly association, refreshments, with the silent auction following. The music starts at 7 PM, but you may want to drop in early to look at the silent auction items and put in a bid. I have listed the auction items (19 baskets) here. All are new items and most donated by Shelton, CT businesses. Because this is a 'silent auction' you must register to bid and receive a bid number the night of Dec. 12 at the hosting church. No used items at this auction. All is new. 19 separate baskets in all featuring: Gift cards and certificates to local Shelton Restaurants, to grocery stores such as Trader Joe's, and a unique healthy foods store, to a local winery for wine-tasting and gifted wines, for Hair Salon services, to a newly opened bookstore, certificates for free music lessons, 2 child bikes, toddler items like a cozy blanket and Dr. Seuss books, baskets of Rada Cutlery knives and kitchen tools, BJs membership with gift card and various holiday entertaining grocery goods.
