Chilly Day Chili Fest -Sample 8 Kinds! Sat Feb 24 11AM - 2PM UUFalmouth 840 Sandwich Rd. E. Falmouth

Volunteers are inviting the public to the "Chilly Day Chili Fest" from 11 AM to 2PM Saturday, February 24, at the UU Falmouth Meeting House, 840 Sandwich Rd., East Falmouth.

Each guest may taste multiple flavors from among 8 kinds of chili and vote for the best! Varieties will include "Cowboy Beans," "Bison, Beef, and Beer Chili," "South End Deep Root Chili," and many more, including at least one vegan option. Participation is $15 for adults, teenagers and seniors, and $10 for children under 12. (Only cash can be accepted.)

The eight or more varieties will be served, often by their creators, from crockpots located around the periphery of the circular room. Two-ounce samples will be served in four-oz bowls, leaving room for free optional toppings, including sour cream, cheese, onions, cilantro, and pickled jalapeño. Also included without charge: taco chips and cornbread available at each dining table, and water and soft drinks.

In addition, there will be baked goods for sale, including treats of chocolate, fruit and many flavors.
