Conifer Christmas Parade

The Christmas in Conifer celebration, presented by the Conifer Area Chamber of Commerce, expands into a week-long festival this year with more fun, more lights, and more ways to experience the wonder of the season.

The festivities officially kick off with Small Business Saturday November 29, building momentum through a series of special events that include Holiday Happenings and Light Up Conifer. The week-long celebration concludes December 6 with the 42nd Annual Conifer Christmas Parade—Colorado’s longest-running mountain community Christmas parade. Jean Sandberg, one of the original founders of the parade, is being honored as this year’s Grand Marshal.

"We're taking our holiday celebration to the next level with a week-long event that involves the entire community," said Conifer Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Beth Schneider. "It's so exciting because it gives local businesses the chance to fully participate and develop meaningful connections with the community, highlighting the products, services, and local flavor that make our Colorado mountain town such a special place."

Long treasured for its traditions and community spirit, Conifer is inviting area residents and visitors to experience a week full of festivities that brings together families, neighborhoods, small businesses, and organizations for an unforgettable holiday treat.

Christmas in Conifer Week
Holiday Happenings (Nov 29 - Dec 6): Businesses and organizations host open houses, workshops, live music, kids’ activities, shopping promotions, tasting events, and more. All happenings will be listed on the chamber website and promoted through social media and chamber outreach. Businesses and organizations can register to participate through November 14th.

Light Up Conifer (Nov 29 - Dec 6): This holiday lighting contest transforms homes and storefronts into a sparkling wonderland. Residents can participate in the Home Holiday Decorating competition; Businesses and organizations can participate in the Window Decorating competition or Building Lighting competition. Residents and visitors who just want to check out the amazing displays can follow the "lighting map" on the Light Up Conifer page. Registration deadline is November 24, 2025. Winners are announced at the Christmas Parade on December 6th.

Christmas Parade Dec 6: The annual parade starts at 2 p.m. and features charming floats, walking groups, local marching bands, and festively decorated vehicles winding through Aspen Park along Sutton Avenue. This year’s theme is simply titled “Christmas.” Parade entrants can get creative and let their imaginations shine, whether it's Santa’s workshop, snowy winter scenes, gingerbread houses, or holiday music.
