Deck the Halls, Share the Joy
Thursday, December 4, 2025, 1700 - 2000
Baker College of Cadillac invites the community to celebrate the magic of the season at Deck the Halls, Share the Joy on Thursday, December 4, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Baker College Student Center. This heartwarming holiday event combines creativity, community spirit, and giving back-all in one festive evening.
Guests will enjoy live music, hot beverages, cookies, and a dazzling display of decorated holiday trees created by Baker College students, faculty, and staff. Each tree represents a student organization or academic program and is connected to a local charity that the group has chosen to support.
Visitors can stroll through the glowing forest of themed trees, vote for their favorite, and help raise funds for meaningful local causes. Every vote counts-each dollar donated is a vote toward a tree. At the end of the night, the charity represented by the winning tree will receive all funds raised during the event.
In keeping with the spirit of the season, every decorated tree will be donated to local care facilities and community partners after the event. This thoughtful gesture ensures that the joy and beauty of the celebration continue to brighten the holidays for others throughout Northern Michigan.
"Deck the Halls, Share the Joy" showcases Baker College's ongoing commitment to community engagement, student leadership, and service learning. The event provides an opportunity for students to express creativity, collaborate as teams, and connect their campus experiences to charitable giving. It also serves as a reminder that small acts of kindness-whether through artistic expression, volunteering, or sponsorship-can have a lasting impact.
Community partners and local businesses are invited to take part as event sponsors. Sponsorships help fund the event and the donation of the trees while also offering visibility and recognition for their support. Sponsors will be featured on event banners, promotional materials, and during announcements throughout the evening as "Official Providers of Trees."
This event is free and open to the public, welcoming families, friends, and community members of all ages to experience an evening of holiday warmth and connection. Attendees are encouraged to bring their holiday spirit and join in spreading joy across the region.
