The Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Centre Society (VIRCS) and Welcome Gardens invite you to a night of colour, culture, and community. Step into Mictlán and experience the vibrant traditions of Día de los Muertos with music, dancing, fashion, and ancestral celebration.
Enjoy dancing music, a dazzling Catrina fashion runway, free pool tables, a silent auction, and a powerful inmersive ofrenda altar demonstration. Dress in your finest Catrina or Catrín attire and honour ancestral beauty, resilience, and remembrance while joining the runway yourself.
Your ticket includes a portion of tamale, a portion of delicious birria tacos, and one non-alcoholic drink. Additional affordable food and beverages will be available for purchase, so you can feast as you celebrate.
This is more than a cultural evening, it's a fundraiser with heart. Every ticket helps support immigrant and refugee families in Victoria facing food insecurity. Proceeds are matched by a generous founder to fund a winter food security programme in 2026, bringing culturally meaningful food, education, and self-sufficiency to local communities.
