Estate Planning Essentials: Wills, Trusts and Protecting Your Family
A will or trust is only one part of an estate plan.
Account ownership, beneficiary designations, retirement accounts, insurance, property, and business interests can all affect how assets transfer, whether your wishes are carried out as intended, and how much your beneficiaries ultimately keep. Estate planning also includes preparing for incapacity - who can make financial and healthcare decisions if you cannot.
Join Estate Planning Attorney Walter Ozark and Retirement and Estate Planning Solutions professional Bill Kinkel for a practical educational workshop on how legal documents and financial planning work together.
During this presentation, you'll learn about wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, beneficiary designations, retirement accounts, probate concerns, and common planning mistakes that may create confusion, delay, unnecessary costs, or potential tax issues for you or your beneficiaries.
You'll also learn why organizing your financial information before meeting with an attorney can help create a clearer picture for coordinated planning.
Whether you are starting from scratch or reviewing an existing plan, this event is designed to help you better understand the questions to ask, the information to gather, and the next steps to consider.
No Cost, No Obligation Registration is required. Seating is limited.
