Experience being a chorister at St Giles' Church, Oxford
We're recruiting new young singers - come and try being a chorister at St Giles' Church, Oxford. This is a friendly afternoon of music-making for children and young people aged 6-18, and no prior singing experience is required.
St Giles' Oxford is a renowned centre of outstanding music education provision, supporting the future of English sacred and choral music through enjoyable and enriching opportunities for local people, irrespective of background.
What to expect
- A welcoming, structured session of group singing and choral music-making.
- Learn music together and experience what it's like to sing as part of a church choir/chorister tradition.
- Parents/guardians drop off at the start and return for a short concert at the end of the afternoon.
When and where
- Saturday 16 May 2026, 13:30-17:30.
- St Giles' Church, 10 Woodstock Road, Oxford OX2 6HT.
Important information
- This is an in-person event for young people aged 6-18.
- We may make a record of the afternoon; participants can opt out of being photographed.
- We will ask about dietary requirements, health issues (including allergies), and assisted access needs, and we will collect emergency contact details.
- Attendees can choose whether we may contact them afterwards about follow-up sessions.
- Once you've signed up on Eventbrite, we'll email practical information (what to bring, timings for the end-of-day concert, and drop-off instructions).
