Celebrating the 10th anniversary of the release of 'HYBRIS' and 'ALASKA', two key records of the FAST ANIMALS AND SLOW KIDS discography, the celebration editions are available to order starting from today and the vinyls will be released on March 29 (Woodworm label, distributed by Virgin Records/Universal Music Italia) at the following link https://linktr.ee/fask2023. Both are available as double vinyls including some demos of the records.
FAST ANIMALS AND SLOW KIDS have also decided to celebrate this double anniversary with their first European tour: in April they will cross Europe with the 'FAST ANIMALS AND SLOW KIDS EUROPEAN TOUR - Performing and celebrating 10 years of Hybris and Alaska' that will see them protagonists on the stages of the most iconic clubs where they will propose the songs of these two albums that have strongly marked their path.
"Listening to our own records is a bit like browsing through an album of very detailed old photographs" FAST ANIMALS AND SLOW KIDS say "It is a unique fortune, a privilege of musicians and a few other forms of art, an important concept, on which we never reflect enough: press play and relive moments of distant life that you thought lost in memory, feel the same emotions that you had experienced five, seven, ten years ago, still sharp, still strong, still real. Browse through a diary open to all but in which everyone, between the lines, can reread what he wants".
For FAST ANIMALS AND SLOW KIDS embarking on the first European tour bringing on stage the songs of "Hybris" and "Alaska", 10 years after their release, has a strong link with themselves of 2013/2014, years of touring in a van, in which leaving for a series of dates away from home was the only reason for living and perhaps the only way to face it head-on.
"'Hybris' and 'Alaska' are pieces of that life: auditions recorded whispering in the middle of the night 'there's no hope' in a hostel in Brescia, the E45 in a van tight between the guitar cases and some sports bag full of wrinkled clothes, hours and hours at the merchandising stand trying to figure out if we played well, talking to anyone who wanted to talk to us at the end of the concert. All this for us is indelible. It is the root from which the trees that we are now emerged".
This will be an opportunity to shout beyond the Alps the mantra that has accompanied them for over 15 years "We are the Fast Animals and Slow Kids and we come from Perugia".
