Feline Frenzy at the Zoo

Enjoy a PURR-fect CAT-urday on September 27th, 12-4 at the Alaska Zoo. Regular admission rates and membership use apply. 1-3pm: Petting Zoo. 12:30pm: Critter Chat and Enrichment at Snow Leopard. 2pm: Dress up as a cat, join the costume contest at Great Horned Owl (judged by cat rescue groups). 2:30pm: Critter Chat and Enrichment at Tiger. 12-4pm: Welcome table inside the entrance with hands-on items, scavenger hunt and prizes. Cat food donation drive - items for cat rescues and items for zoo cats (dropped off at welcome table just inside admissions gate). Donation items for zoo cats: Whipped cream, heavy whipping cream, perfume/cologne, canned cat food, canned tuna/chicken, spices like paprika and cinnamon. No garlic or onion. Donations for cat rescue groups: Canned cat food, dry cat food, catnip, cardboard scratchers, cat treats, cat toys. The Pizza Box Food Truck, Cotton Candy, Fashion Pact Pop Up Shop by the Discovery Center in the old zoo entrance area. Face Painting by Forged in Glitter and Cat Rescue Group booths at the center of the zoo by Great Horned Owl. Cat themed Scavenger Hunt throughout the zoo!
