Free Castle Rock Band Concert Celebrates Independence June 29

The Castle Rock Band will celebrate the nation's independence with a free concert at Festival Park in downtown Castle Rock on Sunday, June 29 at 7:00 pm. Included in the program are John Philip Sousa's "The Thunderer" and "The Stars and Stripes Forever"
This is the second of Castle Rock Band's summer concert series. The band will perform two more outdoor concerts on August 9 and September 27. All concerts are presented free of charge as a service to the community. Audience members are encouraged to bring their own seating.
The Castle Rock Band is made up of volunteer musicians from Douglas County and the surrounding area. Members range from high school age to senior citizens. No auditions are required and all interested musicians are welcome. For more information about joining the band, visit www.CastleRockBand.org.
