Free access to Hemel Hempstead gym this National Fitness Day
Monday, September 14, 2026 -- Sunday, September 20, 2026, 0600 - 1600
Hemel Hempstead residents are being invited to get moving this National Fitness Day as Absolutely Fitness launches a programme of free activities, special offers and member rewards designed to help more people take the first step towards a healthier lifestyle.
On National Fitness Day (Wednesday 16th September), the Absolutely Fitness gym located in The XC will be offering free entry for non-members, giving local people the opportunity to try the facilities. Visitors will need to register their details at reception and bring valid photo ID with them.
There will be the option to make a voluntary donation to the charity Absolutely Together, which provides free leisure activities to families across the region who have children and young adults with additional needs.
Throughout the day, guests and members will also receive a range of complimentary fitness goodies, including water bottles, protein bars and other giveaways.
Absolutely Fitness is also encouraging members to share their fitness journey with others throughout the whole week. Between 14th and 20th September, alongside guest passes for friends and family, members who refer a new joiner will receive their next month's membership free.
Sky Jones, Operations Manager at Absolutely Fitness at The XC, commented:
"National Fitness Day is all about celebrating the positive impact that being active can have on both physical and mental wellbeing. We know walking into a gym for the first time can feel daunting, so we want to remove that barrier and give local people the opportunity to come in, meet the team and try our facilities.
"Whether someone is completely new to exercise, returning after a break or already loves training, we look forward to welcoming them."
