Free outdoor concert: La Luz at Occidental Square on 8/20 at 4pm
Thursday, August 20, 2026, 1600 - 1800
Soak in the psychedelic rock and dream-pop sounds of La Luz performs at Occidental Square in downtown Seattle's Pioneer Square neighborhood.
La Luz, the California psych-rock band led by guitarist and songwriter Shana Cleveland, is known for pairing swaggering riffs with dreamy harmonies and a singular mix of doo-wop, folk and surf-inspired psychedelia. Their acclaimed album News of the Universe marks a bold new chapter, transforming Cleveland's experience with illness, motherhood and change into a record that is both haunting and triumphant.
The Downtown Seattle Association is proud to present Downtown Summer Sounds, a free outdoor concert series that has been bringing free live, local, national and international music to downtown Seattle for more than 45 years. We're hosting outdoor concerts across downtown from July 9-Aug. 28. See the lineup at https://downtownseattle.org/events/downtown-summer-sounds/
The Downtown Summer Sounds concert series is funded by the Metropolitan Improvement District ratepayers.
