Giocosa Chamber Music: TRADITION

Giocosa Chamber Music presents TRADITION, the last concert of their 23/24 season, in Dennis and Chatham on April 13 and 14. The program features Giocosa's Trios 4 Four ensemble, comprised of directors Heather Goodchild Wade (violin) and Elizabeth Schultze (cello) with guest pianists Steven Mann and Ray Wong.
The beloved Brahms Piano Trio #1 in B Major makes up the first half of the program. The second half will feature the 4 Seasons of Buenos Aires by Argentine tango composer Astor Piazzolla. When performed together, these two pieces showcase opposite approaches to composition; one focused on honoring the musical traditions of the past, and one that unapologetically defies them (extra points for figuring out who's who).
Concerts take place on April 13 at 7 pm at the Dennis Union Church in Dennis, and on April 14 at 3 pm at the First Congregational Church of Chatham. Tickets are $30 at the door, first time attendees are half price. Anyone 18 and under is free, and a pay-what-you-can option is always available upon request.
