Gorilla Gathering - Aspen

Step into the world of the gorillas and the work that has helped protect them for decades at a special evening with the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund. Learn more about our teams on the ground in Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo and their daily efforts to ensure a future for this critically endangered species. And hear about our work over the last six years with the filmmakers of the new Netflix documentary, A Gorilla Story: Told by David Attenborough.

The movie follows the Pablo group and reveals their intelligence, complex societies and deep family bonds. Serving as scientific advisors, we contributed our deep knowledge of the featured gorillas drawn from nearly 60 years of daily field observation, beginning with Dian Fossey herself. The evening will provide behind-the-scenes perspectives and insights from the movie, including what has happened within the group in the two years since filming concluded.
