Growing Wine Cap Mushrooms at Home

Wine Cap mushrooms are known as "Garden Giants". They're delicious mushrooms with a mild, earthy flavor and are great mushrooms for beginners. They can fruit in as little as two months and will produce in the same bed for several years.

Participants will get a brief educational overview that will cover site selection, tools, the inoculating process, growing conditions and fruiting. Then we'll work together to create a bed here at the farm while enjoying light refreshments. Feel free to bring your own foraging-inspired dish or snack to share!

Each participant will get to take home a five-pound bag of Wine Cap spawn from Noble Mushrooms and the instructions to grow their own mushrooms at home.
