Halloween Bat Walk with Bridget Nicholls
Friday, October 31, 2025, 1630 - 1900
This isn't your average Halloween bat walk.
It's a Halloween evening with Bridget Nicholls - world authority on cultural entomology, bat expert, and former Artist in Residence at London Zoo (where she lived in a shepherd's hut).
Bridget has led bat walks across the world and turned natural history into living art - translating science into sound, story and wonder. Now she brings her bat detectors, her folklore and her fascination with the unseen to Voltaire's Wood.
As darkness gathers, we'll listen for the clicks and calls of bats weaving through the trees, explore the myths that surround them and tune our ears to the hidden frequencies of the night. Expect stories, sonar, and a touch of Halloween mischief.
