The Texas Author Series welcomes author Stephen Harrigan to Chez Zee. Join us September 11 at Chez Zee for the next installment of our Texas Author Series happy hour featuring longtime Texas Monthly contributor and bestselling author Stephen Harrigan. Your host, Cari Clark, will facilitate an engaging conversation with Harrigan, discussing his recent book, Sorrowful Mysteries: The Shepherd Children of Fatima and the Fate of the Twentieth Century - an intriguing story of three Portuguese children who in 1917, claimed that the Virgin Mary appeared before them and spoke the words, "Do not be afraid." It was a a phenomenon that shook the Catholic Church and echoed across major events in world history. Blending meticulous research with his own reflections on growing up Catholic, Harrigan offers a personal, powerful take on how faith and mystery helped shaped an entire century.
Happy Hour is from 6 - 6:30
Author interview with Q and A is 6:30-7:30
Admission includes light refreshment and appetizers.
Cash bar. General Admission tickets $19 per person +tax.
Students are $9, Anyone making a reservation for dinner after the event can attend the Author Happy hour FREE.
