Inner Landscapes: A Debut Solo Exhibition of the works of Elisabeth Tetlow

This September, Temple and presents Inner Landscapes, the first major solo exhibition of British painter Elisabeth Tetlow. Long immersed in a private practice of painting, Tetlow now steps into public view with a collection of twenty works that reveal her unique vision: archetypal landscapes rendered as portals into the subconscious.

Four monumental canvases anchor the show, with recurring motifs of mountain, river, tree, and path. These symbols carry a timeless resonance, echoing both the natural world and the inner psyche. Painted in oil with hand-ground pigments, Tetlow’s works glow with layered surfaces and luminous depth, inviting viewers into spaces both familiar and dreamlike.

The exhibition itself has its own story. Tetlow's debut was sparked by a chance encounter in a dream group with collector-turned-curator Pamala Temple, a retired tech CEO who founded Temple and to champion emerging voices in art. Their meeting became a convergence of two long-held dreams: the artist’s desire to share her work, and the collector's passion to bring meaning and vision into a new chapter.

Inner Landscapes is not simply a gallery show - it is an invitation to step into the in-between places where nature, memory, and dream meet.
