JACK GIBBONS' CHRISTMAS RHAPSODY
Tuesday, December 16, 2025, 2000 - 2215
Acclaimed pianist Jack Gibbons performs a Christmas Rhapsody concert at Oxford's historic Holywell Music Room, featuring Gershwin's immortal Rhapsody in Blue, Tchaikovsky's Christmas masterpiece The Nutcracker Suite, carol arrangements by Brahms, Irving Berlin, Fats Waller and others, sleigh rides by Prokofiev, Mozart and Anderson, Gibbons' own arrangements of In Dulci Jubilo/Silent Night and more.
"Jack Gibbons is a unique phenomenon in the musical world of today. Thanks to his virtuosic skills Gibbons can hold an audience in thrall. His concert-giving style is equally attractive: before his performances he talks unassumingly but with great authority from the platform, drawing the listeners into a special relationship." Sir Humphrey Burton (Emmy-winning Head of Music and Arts, BBC Television)
Tickets are available from Tickets Oxford (at the Oxford Playhouse) with a substantial discount for all purchases in advance.
