Jazz at The Strand: The Music of Ray Charles

Join us for an unforgettable afternoon on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at 4:00 PM, celebrating the legendary Ray Charles, one of the most important figures in American music. This show features vocalist Cleveland Jones, who will expertly navigate jazz and soul, performing Ray's biggest hits like "Hit the Road Jack," "I Can't Stop Loving You," and "Georgia on My Mind."

Discover the Jazz Legacy Project (JLP), founded in 2015 by Justin Varnes during his Jazz History classes at Georgia State University. For six years, JLP has been selling out performances at the Velvet Note jazz club in Atlanta, bringing jazz history to life by sharing stories and playing records instead of relying solely on textbooks.

Ticket prices range from $27 to $67. For an enhanced experience, get the VIP Ticket Package, which includes early access to seating, a Q and A with the band, two drink tickets, and a poster signed by the band!
