Kaleideum After Dark:: The Almost Olympics
Saturday, March 14, 2026, 1830 - 2130
Make Your Own Medals. Earn Your Own Glory.
Channel your inner almost-athlete at the March Kaleideum After Dark-where friendly competition, oversized games, and playful challenges take over the museum for a night of adults-only fun.
Test your aim with inflatable axe throwing in LaSTEAM, square off in giant Connect 4 and Tetris-style games, or try your luck with classic favorites like the Huey Bean Bag Toss. Head up to the Rooftop Adventure for sack races and Pico Stick games, where balance, coordination, and a healthy sense of humor are key.
In the Try It! Studio, design and create your own custom medals-because at The Almost Olympics, everyone gets a medal.
Between events, take a break in the Digital Dome for a thought-provoking talk with Joel D. Stitzel, PhD, Professor and Chair of Biomedical Engineering at Wake Forest University. He'll explore what science is teaching us about sports injuries and brain safety-and why understanding how our brains respond to impact matters both on and off the field.
No qualifying rounds. No podium pressure. Just games, drinks, and bragging rights-Kaleideum style.
Presented by Flow Lexus.
