“Knockout” Fun Day at Addingham Primary School
Saturday, May 16, 2026, 0900 - 1700
Everyone is invited to take part in a brand-new community fundraiser this spring - as the school looks raise £10,000 to replace outdated ICT equipment that is currently limiting pupils’ learning.
Inspired by shows such as Total Wipeout and Gladiators, the event promises foam-filled fun, with teams competing in a series of crazy games before a grand finale assault course. There’s also food and drink on sale, face painting, soft play and other sports activities to keep everyone entertained.
But behind the fun lies a serious need.
Many of the school’s computers are now outdated, unreliable and no longer able to run the software children need. In some cases, staff have had to turn machines on hours in advance in the hope they will be ready for lessons - and even then, functionality is limited.
A spokesperson for the school’s PTA added:
“We wanted to create something that brings people together while also making a real difference. This way, families, friends and local groups can have a brilliant day out and help support the school at the same time.”
In the morning, all children of primary school age and above can take part during timed slots for their age group. These tickets are just £10 (plus a £1 booking fee)!
The afternoon team event is open to anyone aged 14 and over, with organisers encouraging teams to get involved, dress up and embrace the fun.
Use discount code: EARLYBIRD20 to save 20%!
Anyone who buys a ticket, sets up a JustGiving page and raises £25 or more for the school will receive their ticket cost back.
The remaining spaces are limited and expected to fill quickly.
