LOMPOC POPS ORCHESTRA's Sept. 2025 concert

September's concert will be offering a bit of a change as Maestro Brian Alhadeff fulfills one of his own lifelong dreams by presenting to his audience the inspirational and beautiful "Grand Canyon Suite." This vibrant work by Ferde Grofe captures the majesty and drama of the American Southwest's landscape with all its unique natural wonders. Audiences are transported through the Canyon's distinct landscapes from the awe-inspiring "Sunrise" to the captivating "Painted Desert" to the "On the Trail" featuring its unforgettable depiction of a burro ride down the canyon path.

To quote the experts, "Grofe's work is certainly one of the most famous musical pieces inspired by the American landscape. Known for his masterful orchestration and ability to evoke vivid imagery through sound, the composer paints a powerful sonic portrait."
