Lake Gogebic 5th of July Fireworks

“In honor of our 5th Anniversary, we’re lighting up the sky with a spectacular fireworks display over the bay, beginning at dusk,” said Mary Beth DeFazio one of the owners of AJ’s Lodge and Oven along with James Eismueller and their son Anthony. “It’s our family’s way of saying thank you for your support, laughter, and loyalty over the years.”
Founded during uncertain times, AJ’s began construction in late 2019—just months before the COVID-19 pandemic temporarily halted progress. Against the odds, the family-owned restaurant officially opened on July 1, 2020, and has since become a beloved destination for quality dining and warm hospitality. In 2024, AJ’s was proudly named one of Michigan’s Red Hot Best in four categories: Best Pizza, Best Restaurant, Best Outdoor Dining, and Best Lodging in the Upper Peninsula.
