Lions Seeside WalkFest
Saturday, September 27, 2025, 1000 - 1700
This is an event for all ages, so bring the kids and the grandkids. It’s a beautiful setting just below the Bourne Bridge. The park itself is gorgeous, and looks out at the Railroad bridge across the canal and the Cape Cod canal itself. Next to the park is a multi-functional playground, too! Walk, sing, bicycle till your hearts content.
The Lions encourage you to bring your families and friends and spend the afternoon enjoying what the Massachusetts Lions Eye Research Foundation can also teach you about our endeavors. Benefiting: Massachusetts Eye Research, Inc. (MLERF) MLERF grants approximately $1million every year in primary research grants to 6 hospitals in the Boston area. If you have heard about or seen a treatment or a cure for any eye disease or disorder, most likely MLERF provided the seed money for the research that led to that treatment.
While you’re here walking for donations enjoy all the events that are happening !!
SPOTLIGHT ON OUR MUSICIANS that will be playing the Seeside event!
First from 11am - 12pm MICHAEL A. GABRIEL. Michael is a nationally known STEEL PAN player we were EXCITED to add to the line up this year.
From 12:30pm - 2pm, CLASSIC ROCK band from Rhode Island - GOOD GRAVY, 3 who have been playing together for over 25 years. They will sure help us put some pep in our steps while we are walking to raise money.
And lastly from 2:45pm - 4:30pm we have our HEADLINER band, a local favorite, THE RAMBLIN' BAND. We are thrilled to have then back.
You are in for a special day of music with all of these talented musicians!
The food Vendors also will tickle your tonsils with their special preparations. We have the Veteran's Lunch Box, a variety of breakfasts and lunch sandwiches. Then there is the Minkle Boys Catering where you can feast on chowder, BBQ, and more. Additionally, this year we have Stone Path Math hosting a Beer tent with beer, seltzer, and wine. You won't go dry.
PLEASE bring non-perishables for our food collections for our NEEDY FAMILIES in Southeastern MA.
Participate in the games and raffles, and you'll find friendly Lions to assist you as you need.
Come with lawn chairs and get comfortable because you won’t want to miss this!
