Mayo Clinic Healthy Living Program for Healthcare Professionals 2026

Based on Mayo Clinic Healthy Living Program, this experiential program is designed to help people make beneficial lifestyle behavior changes. In this course, attendees learn about lifestyle medicine, and actively participate in classes designed to help create individualized wellness plans. Learning in this personal manner helps participants counsel patients on making these same healthy behavior changes.

A published study of the impact of the program has shown that there was a significant improvement in management of stress, levels of energy at work and home, and burnout in attendees that persisted for 6 months post program. Confidence to follow a healthy diet was significantly improved, frequency of continuing to lead an active lifestyle increased, and confidence to counsel patients on healthy lifestyle significantly increased.

Learning Objectives- Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
1. Recognize the relationship between health behaviors, chronic disease, and quality of life
2. Assess participants using their own wellness assessment
3. Employ wellness concepts in participants' own lives
4. Select appropriate tools to track health behaviors

Target Audience: Healthcare professionals practicing in internal medicine, primary care, preventive medicine, concierge medicine, cardiovascular medicine, and endocrinology. In addition, healthcare professionals in all specialties may find the information and experience beneficial.
