Medway's 150th Birthday Celebration

Friday kicks off with a coin scramble at 1:00pm for the kids. This is followed by music by Jeff Hamm and a public Chicken BBQ by the Masonic Lodge for just $20.00. Fairy Com will be from 12:00-8:00pm at the beach area. The 9th is a Pancake Breakfast put on by the Medway Fire Dept., a Arthur York Memorial Tractor Show, music through out the day by the Strum Dingers, Terry Levesque, Thundering Classic Rock and Country Rock Bands. A by Donation Meal will be of Smoked Brisket, Beans, Salads and dessert. The Beach Area will be holding a Fairy Com, Mr Drew and His Animals too along with bounce houses and a Kids Foam Slide. Sunday is Church Service under the tent with Pastor Rich. Woodsman's Mans day registration starting at 9:00am. This day will also include a public Chili/Chowda Cook Off with open participation and a Kids Dessert Contest from 4:30-7:00pm. Music will by by Whiskey Brothers and open mic starting at 2:00pm. Monday will feature an old fashion Sindig with story telling and hopefully some history to share. Also we will feature Katahdin's Got Talent with all local (and not so) talent welcome to take the stage from 6:00pm-9:00pm. Supper this evening will be a Spaghetti Supper by the Eight Grade Class by donation to support there class trip. Tuesday will be meet "Derby" the officer K9 with East Millinocket Police Dept at 12:00pm. We will have a Penobscot Nation Presentation from 5:30-7:00pm at the beach area. Thursday will resume with a Town Wide Yard Sale, a kids Bike Parade at 3:00pm, Thundering Classic Rock will entertain from 4:00-6:00pm and the Fire Dept Auxiliary putting on a Classic BBq with burgers, hotdogs, salads, beans and dessert by donation. Friday the 15th will be Rec fun day from 10:00-2:00pm with many kids activities including a climbing wall. East Mill FCU sponsoring hotdogs from 11:30-12:30. We will be having a Street Dance at 83 North for $10.00 per person starting at 8:00pm with music by our own Allie Currie and her band On the Rocks. Saturday the 16th will start off with a public Pancake Breakfast at Katahdin Shadows Campground to benefit the Shriners from 7:00am till 9:00am. An open to the public Classic Car Show will be held at the Medway Middle School from 1:00-5:00pm. At the Recreation Complex we will have music starting at 12:00pm to include Terry Levesque and Josiah Dyer at 2:00pm. We will be holding a by donation Pig Roast with all the fixings starting at 4:30pm-7:00pm sponsered by Tom/Shelley Lee and James Stanley. The Beach area will be holding an ATV Rodeo starting at 10:00am for all ages. We will also be holding an adult Beach Dance featuring Thundering Classic from 8:00pm-11:00pm. We will end the week on Sunday the 17th with Church Services at the Old Medway Church starting at 10:00am with Bill Chesley. We will be starting the parade lineup at the Medway Irving at 3:00PM. We will have different Vendors, Crafters and kids activities all week at the Recreation Complex and the Medway Historical Society will be having the Old Medway Church open each day from 1:00pm-5:00pm for viewing
