Meet The Local Author - Book Signing

Barnes and Noble will host the local author's debut release of Surfside Six, A Race to the Sand, with the author, Jim Mathieu, available to sign copies. Coast Guard federal law enforcement officers face daily challenges and pressures as they enforce the laws and treaties enacted by our lawmakers, such as the Cuban Adjustment Act. Surfside Six tells the story of the complexities and demands faced by the Florida-based micropolitan politicians of the Cuban exile and expatriate communities, as well as the Cuban-born lawmakers in Congress, during a politically charged presidential election year, and the presidents of Cuba and the United States.
