MIDSUMMER CELEBRATIONS AND FAMILY CEILIDH “An old-fashioned midsummer gathering. Come experience the kind of summer gathering many of us miss.

Sunday 21 June 2026 | Fellows Farm near Helmingham Hall Gardens

Join us for a magical midsummer gathering of music, dancing, storytelling, flowers, firelight and community beneath the long summer sky.

This joyful family celebration welcomes everyone - from tiny dancers and babies-in-arms to grandparents and old friends. No ceilidh experience needed - just come as you are.

What’s happening:

Live music from the wonderful Caledonian Reelers
Storytelling with Dave Tonge, the Yarnsmith of Norwich
Flower and oak-leaf crown making with florist Olga Skavos
Bagpiper-led procession into the dance circle
Campfire songs and midsummer atmosphere
Scottish jigs and reels for all ages
Space to gather, picnic, connect and celebrate summer together

Hosted by Janina Lileikyte-Jones of Jig and Joy Circles - bringing families together through nature, music, movement, storytelling and connection.

Bring:
- Comfortable shoes
- Picnic and water
- Something small for the shared table if you’d like
- Your midsummer spirit

WHAT TO EXPECT

We’ll begin arriving from 12:30pm at beautiful Fellows Farm, near Helmingham Hall Gardens.

Children can make flower crowns, families can settle onto picnic blankets, and the afternoon will gently unfold into storytelling, dancing and shared celebration.

A bagpiper will lead us toward the dance floor, where live ceilidh music will carry us through joyful jigs and reels - simple enough for beginners and delightful for experienced dancers alike.

As evening softens, we’ll gather around the fire for songs and stories beneath the midsummer sky.
