Mozart by Candlelight; 6pm Saturday 2 May, All Saints Church, Blackheath SE3 0TY
Saturday, May 2, 2026, 1800 - 1900
Mozart Piano Concerto no.21 in C major
Beethoven Moonlight Sonata
Ariel Pirotti ‘Autumn’ for violin and orchestra
The breathtaking Surround Sound Ensemble returns with a magical programme centred around Mozart’s most beloved Piano Concerto No. 21.
Immortalised in countless films, this iconic concerto will be performed by virtuoso pianist Iain Farrington. Few musicians can claim to have played to a live audience of over a billion people, as Iain did at the Olympic Opening Ceremony, sharing the stage with Sir Simon Rattle and Rowan Atkinson. He has since written music for the King’s Coronation and performed worldwide with countless leading artists.
“Formidable pianism… exquisite insights” - The Guardian
All proceeds from the concert will support Music in Action, the inspiring charity that provides music lessons for underprivileged children. Join us for an evening of exceptional music that also helps bring the joy of music into young lives.
From our audience:
"The most exhilarating and exciting performance!’
