Mukilteo Yacht Club - Opening Day of Boating

Mukilteo Yacht Club (MYC) will celebrate its 23rd annual Opening Day of Boating on Saturday, May 2nd at the Port of Everett. This year's theme is "Legends of the Sea." Activities include a Captain's Meeting/Registration and Blessing of the Fleet at 11:00 am at the party barge on Guest Dock 5 followed by a decorated boat parade (open to all boaters) beginning at noon (weather permitting). The public can view the decorated boats by walking Guest Dock 5 (Central Marina near Fisherman Jack's and South Fork Baking Company) or watching the boat parade from shore-side locations along the Snohomish River such as Boxcar Park and near Anthony's Home Port restaurant. Prizes will be awarded for the best decorated boats and costumes according to the "Legends of the Sea" theme. Members of the public can vote for the People's Choice Award.
