National Oceanography Centre Open Day

Celebrate the wonders of the ocean at the National Oceanography Centre’s open day in Southampton on 14 June 2026. This special event opens the doors to one of the UK’s leading ocean research organisations.

Discover interactive exhibits, hands-on demonstrations, family-friendly activities and tours of our impressive workshops where you’ll see our amazing underwater technology including gliders and ocean robotics.

Explore plankton, uncover seafloor secrets, learn about the ocean, and understand the impact of plastic pollution.

It’s an inspiring, inclusive day for all ages, families, ocean enthusiasts and curious minds.

Tickets are free, but must be booked in advance. We’re running morning (10.30am-1.30pm) and afternoon (2-5pm) sessions, as well as a dedicated quiet hour (9.30-10.30am) for our neurodiverse community.
