Orange County Juneteenth Celebration 2025: Where Freedom Gathers, We Rise

Celebrate Juneteenth in Hillsborough, NC with a full day of music, storytelling, food, and joyful community connection. This free, family-friendly event includes three sessions at three venues:
Morning Ceremony (10:00–11:30 AM at Davis Price Farmers Market, 140 E Margaret Ln): Featuring a keynote by Dr. Sonny Kelly (legacyheirsproductions.com), performances by B.U.M.P. the Triangle (bumpthetriangle.org) and The Magic of African Rhythm (tmoar.wordpress.com), and a color guard presentation by the Orange County Sheriff's Department (ocsonc.com). Light refreshments provided by B3 Coffee (b3coffee.org).
Midday Luncheon and Film (2:30–5:00 PM at Orange County Public Library, 137 W Margaret Ln): Includes a screening of "Frederick Douglass: In Five Speeches," a catered lunch from Taste of Soul Catering (taste-of-soul-catering.square.site), and community storytelling and dialogue activities. ADA accessible. Language interpretation available upon request.
Evening Block Party (6:00–9:00 PM at Eno Arts Mill, 437 Dimmocks Mill Rd, Suite 17): Featuring a DJ set by DJ Jay Mami (jaymamienterprisesllc.com), a drum circle with The Magic of African Rhythm, performances by B.U.M.P. the Triangle, a local vendor marketplace, and food from Oak City Fish and Chips (oakcityfishandchips.com), Ethio-Indi Alkaline Cuisine (ethioindi.square.site), and Quench 305 (instagram.com/quench305). Hosted in partnership with Orange County Arts Commission (artsorange.org/enomill).
