Now in its third year, the free-admission event draws visitors from across the Mid-Atlantic to wander tree-lined streets, discover handmade treasures, and enjoy the kind of December weekend worth remembering.
More than two dozen carefully selected makers fill the community center with goods you simply won't find anywhere else: an Eastern Shore-inspired watercolor, a hand-thrown ceramic mug, small-batch preserves, a delicious new looseleaf tea blend, a hand-poured candle, a piece of jewelry that quietly becomes someone's favorite. Every booth is its own little discovery. Every gift arrives with a story attached.

"Oxford in December feels like stepping inside a snow globe," said Monika Mraz, the market's organizer and founder of Doehrn Tea Co. "We've built the kind of weekend people happily drive an hour for - beautiful surroundings, beautiful gifts, and a cafe that smells like Christmas. You leave with your shopping done and your spirits filled."

At the heart of the market, a European-inspired cafe keeps the day warm and delicious. Frankfurters, fresh-baked strudel, a pot of tea and seasonal sweets from bakers and chocolatiers give shoppers every reason to linger between booths and share new finds with friends.

With holiday cheer drifting through the streets and the Tred Avon River shimmering at the edge of the village, the Oxford Holiday Market has quickly become a regional day-trip tradition, welcoming visitors from Washington, D.C., Annapolis, Chestertown, Salisbury, and the Delaware beaches.
