Welcome to Purple Circle – York Epilepsy Support Group!

Hello! My name's Anya, I'm 27 years old and I've lived with epilepsy all my life. For as long as I can remember, I've wanted a safe space where I could share my experiences and feelings with others who truly understand.



I've lived in York since I was 18, and in all that time I've never come across a local epilepsy support group. I think it's time we had one - and that's why I've started Purple Circle.



We'll be meeting once a month, on the second Wednesday (7–8:30pm) at The Old Bank, York. These meetings are about connection, support, and knowing you're not alone. From time to time, we may also arrange relaxed social activities so we can connect in a more informal way.



Everyone is welcome - whether you've had one seizure, lived with epilepsy for years, or support a loved one who does.



I'd love this group to grow into a safe, friendly community where we can listen, share, and support each other. Please feel free to introduce yourself below if you’d like to.
